The steel structure, weighing a total of 23,000 tons, was awarded the German Steel Construction Engineering Prize in 2015. The 1.4-kilometer-long bridge was completed in just one summer thanks to prefabricated components. The steel pipes required for the project were supplied by ProPipe.
